Gee, only 6.5 years since our last update. We haven't posted the trip to Morocco in 2006 or our first trip to Japan in 2008 but we really had to share our 2010 trip to Japan with everyone. It definitely was the best vacation we've ever had.

At long last, the much awaited Hong Kong Diaries. Well, at least the first few days, anyway ( Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 ). You may have noticed the new design for our web site as well. The banner was done by a friend of ours back in Kentucky. I'm only just getting around to redesigning the site around it.

Just found out last week that J won first prize for his needlework in the upcoming Texas State Fair. The State Fair doesn't start until Sept. 27 but judging was done early so that only the ribbon winners (1st through 5th places) would be displayed at the Fair. J's friends and relatives can go to www.bigtex.com and, under the Creative Arts Competition section, find his name in the "All winners, alphabetically" page. The piece he did was a Barn Owl from a Cross-Stitch pattern and we got it framed (in faux Barn Board) by Tammy, who owns Shadow Creations in Granbury, about 40 miles south of Fort Worth.
We'll post pictures of it, along with its ribbon, after the Fair opens. Probably some time next month, after we unpack in the new house.
In the mean time, we've removed the Kentucky Diaries to make room for new stuff (and the rest of the Greek Diaries, if we ever get around to it).

In the last two weeks, our house has grown by leaps and bounds. The Previous Pictures are all dated and show its rapid growth. We have over 230 pictures of its construction, so far. We can't post them all but we will try and put up a few from time to time.

Surprise, surprise, we're buying a house. We're pretty excited so please bear with us while we run on about it in New Home 1.

Another big gap. We've been visiting the Scarburough Renaissance Faire for the last few (8) weekends and figure we got enough material for a new Chapter Texas 2 . We also have a recent trip to Vegas to fill in and an upcoming trip to Disney World so stay tuned.

At long last, we now have the Cruise of the Greek Islands published. There were so many pictures to choose from. We just don't have enough web space to publish them all. Even so, being as picky as possible, we had to break up the Cruise into four Chapters, Greece 5, Greece 6, Greece 7, and Greece 8. We will be updating our Texas diary soon. It's hard to keep up the diary when we actually live here rather than just touring but we've got some good pictures to add so we will have to wrap some text around them.

Boy, talk about falling behind. Sorry about that. Kentucky 6 wraps up our stay in Lexington and Texas 1 begins our newest adventures in Fort Worth, Texas.

In Kentucky 5, We've added hyperlinks to some of the places we visited. We will be moving to Fort Worth, Texas some time in August. J will probably be starting work there on August 6 and, once he finds a new place to live, L will oversee the movers and then drive down herself. Fortunately, it's only a 2 day drive this time. We will have one more chapter on Kentucky before we close that book and start a new one on Texas.

Finally got the last few pictures added to Kentucky 4. The job hunt is currently somewhere between Fort Worth, Texas and Moses Lake, Washington. We should know by next week.

Well, now we've done it. We've gone out and gotten our own Web Site from an independent Web Space provider. It seems to be a little slow loading up initially but it runs OK after that. More on the way as we discover new toys.

I am slowly getting the hang of this. Right now, Kentucky is the only page available right now but I will be putting some of our previous Adventures into the Archive section.
I'll also put as many pictures in the Archive section as the site can manage.
